Anyway, I always love to see other artist's work on the same subjects that I work on.It's awesome to do a search and find others take on any subject. Some of them are really good while others are just plain bad. Guess which category this falls under.
First of all, I like this one alot more than the first. For a couple of reasons that I'll get into as I go along here. Before i say any thing else about this, i have to say that it the work as a whole and the amount of detail put into the work are just absolutely mind blowing. The fact that it is a traditional drawing and you still were able to capture her pretty much, dead on exact likeliness and include all those nice details is just mind blowing in of itself. I could NEVER do that with a drawing. I dont even know where to begin to describe what i love about this piece; her expression on her face, eyes, hair, lips, tonal range of shadows..EVERYTHING.. so well done.
Secondly, i know this had been mentioned before by another member, but, i get a sense of pure innocence when i look at this drawing you did of her. A quality that is rarely found in other works done of this beautiful woman and just other works in general.
Thirdly, little things. The glimmer in her eyes, the shadows around her features like the bridge of her nose, the darkened areas of her cheeks, under her bottom lip and on her chin and side of her forehead, the way her hair is flowing effortlessly through the air, the tonal range of her hair as well. All these make for a truely good portrait. Almost like a true b&w photograph.
I will end with this. Beautiful! Excellent work!!!
